me and my family are living in a one bedroom apartment with no ceiling, no refrigerator, no stove, barely any hot water, mice and roaches, and a window that got shot out last night. the only reason we keep internet access in our home is so my mom can work her ebay business bc she’s currently out of work. i work a lot to help my mom because there are many times that her sales are slow, and now is one of those times. me, my mom, and my sister are all victims of abuse at the hands of my (now former) stepdad. we don’t have any other family, my dad is estranged and my mom’s adopted parents are abusive as well. We just recuperated from being homeless last year around this time. My mom is recovering from the abuse she suffered from my stepdad and grandma and she is having am extremely difficult time. I’m coming clean and saying it: we need help. we need to find a place to live that can meet basic health and safety requirements.

right now, the main expense hovering over us is the $1,060 we owe my landlord, aka 4 months worth rent. (Photo) We’ve paid bits and pieces as you can see in the photo, but our landlord is starting to threaten eviction now. Also, there are things that we are lacking and that our incomes aren’t enough to buy. I know it’s a tall order, but I’m willing to put myself out there and ask, I’m willing to risk the embarrassment for my family.

This is exactly what happened last year, we were homeless for the entire holiday season and that was the last thing I wanted to happen again but it’s happening and I don’t know what to do. The one thing I was grateful for was the fact that I could celebrate Christmas this year with a roof over my head this year but now that’s gone too. I’m really desperate I don’t want my family on the streets again please someone help us please.
